Neighborhood Land Use PrioritiesThe following document is the working priorities for future develoment of the Hungtington Station strip mall area. This document supersedes the January, 2006 material listed below.
Historical reference - As part of the Land Use Workshop on January 24, 2006, neighborhood residents participated in a visioning exercise designed to build consensus around a few neighborhood priorities, for which JMCA will advocate during the approval process for area redevelopments. The exercise asked residents to consider what they like about Jefferson Manor, what their “ideal Jefferson Manor” would look like, and what concerns they have about the future of Jefferson Manor. The exercise instructions and the results are also available for download below.
The JMCA Land Use Committee and Board of Directors have used this input to develop neighborhood positions regarding redevelopment of sites in and around Jefferson Manor as well as provide comment to Fairfax County officials and staff regarding county land use policies that affect Jefferson Manor. The intent is for these priorities to be updated fairly regularly through neighborhood workshops and input from residents. Please contact landuse@jeffersonmanor.org with any questions or comments on the priorities identified, especially if you think something important was omitted. |
