Meetings
General membership meetings of the Jefferson Manor Citizens Association normally occur on the third Tuesday of each odd-numbered month of the year (January, March, May, etc.), at 7:00 pm. Because there may occasionally be exceptions to this schedule, please consult the calendar of events for current information on upcoming meetings. Meeting sites can also vary, but between September and May general membership meetings normally take place in the cafeteria of Mount Eagle Elementary School, at 6116 North Kings Highway.
Meetings of the JMCA Board of Directors normally take place on the third Tuesday of each even-numbered month of the year (February, April, June, etc.). These meetings are open to the public, with a period reserved for open comment at the end of each meeting, but directors may choose to discuss certain items in closed session.
JMCA committees meet frequently but irregularly. If you are interested in getting involved with a particular committee and want to know when the next meeting is planned for that committee, please visit the committees section of the website.
Elections
Elections for JMCA Directors and Officers are held each March, with electees beginning their terms at the subsequent April meeting of the Board of Directors. Committee chairpersons are appointed by the Board.
If you are interested in running for an officer or general board member position, contact info@JeffersonManor.org by March 1st to be on the March ballot. Be sure to also read through the JMCA bylaws to understand the responsibilities associated with each role (especially note ARTICLE III: BOARD and ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS).
